THE PLATFORM VISION
Different needs. One connected foundation.
From a resident’s first question to a council’s next decision, the programme brings the journey together. Explore the intended experience below.
CITIZEN EXPERIENCE · PLANNED
A clear next step, not another queue.
Find the right service, understand what is required and follow a request through to a response. AI assistance is designed to guide people, not make unreviewed decisions about them.

A HOME FOR EVERY COUNCIL
Your local identity. A shared foundation.
Each LG gets its own address, connected to its people, workspace and services. Onboarding should set up the whole environment—not just a website.
ReserveAgree the LG name, owner and service scope.
ConnectProvision domains, identity, workspace and internal mail.

TRUST IS PART OF THE DESIGN
Start small. Prove it works. Scale responsibly.
Demonstration before deployment
Five initial demo tenant reservations are planned. They stay inactive until their integrations and access boundaries have been verified.
Each council’s information stays separate
The target architecture binds services to a stable tenant identity, with cross-tenant checks—not just different web addresses.
A path to an official home
localgov.site is the interim programme domain. A future official domain will be introduced through a controlled migration, preserving account and service identities.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Clear from the start.
Is this an official government service?
No. This is an independent demonstration programme by NexusAspire. It is not a government portal and does not imply NITDA endorsement or an approved government engagement.
Can residents submit requests here now?
Not yet. This page explains the programme and illustrates planned journeys. Do not submit citizen records or sensitive information. Live services will be linked only after onboarding and verification.
Does every council need a separate system?
The design gives each council its own namespace and access boundaries on a shared foundation. Domains, identity, workspace and internal email are coordinated as one onboarding process; DNS alone does not provision these services.
What happens when an official domain is provided?
Services will move using verified domain aliases, updated certificates and identity configuration. Tenant and account identifiers remain stable. Email and sign-in migrations require their own checks before cutover.
